Review: Sierra Designs: Flash 3

The Sierra Designs Flash 3 tent is perfect for couples who need a little more space especially if you have dogs like we do. The Flash 3 has a unibody design where the rain-fly is attached to the body of the tent which is excellent for setting up in the rain without getting the inside of your tent wet. This 3-man tent also offers rollup vestibules for stargazing or extra ventilation, It has 2 large doors with windows that can be zipped down, 4 pockets one in every corner for stashing small items like a head lamp or reading glasses, as well as a sierra designs unique Night Glow accessory. Night Glow is a cone shaped contraption that hangs from the roof of the tent which allows you to insert your headlamp of choice to create a diffused light source to light up your entire tent with ease. Beyond the cool features of this tent is is just functional, It has two vestibules that you stake out or roll up for full ventilation and visibility (2) on each side one can easily fit two large packs, so there is more than enough storage. My favorite feature this tent has is definitely the half moon zipper door you can access from the vestibule area which came in very handy for passing things through the tent for initial setup or grabbing things out of your bag in the middle of the night.
